Fairfield County and the Central SC Alliance announced at the County’s annual Industry Appreciation event (Oct 22) that Primesouth Inc will locate its Corporate Headquarters, Operations and Maintenance business and newly created sister company, Primesouth Inc Trade Services, LLC in the Walter B. Brown II Industrial Park in Ridgeway, SC. The Company will invest $1.68 million in the construction office space and a training facility and will employ 400 people over the next five years. The Company will break ground in early 2009 and plans to begin operations in Fairfield County in mid-2009.

Primesouth Inc provides operating and maintenance services for power generating, utility and industrial facilities. The company has successfully grown its business and created a new sister company, Primesouth Trade Services (PTS). PTS will provide skilled labor support and will specialize in welders, pipefitters, millwrights, and other industrial construction and maintenance trades. The Fairfield County location will serve as the training site for these skilled craftsmen. The PTS model is to train and certify craftsmen, ensuring that the Company can provide the right person, with the right training, at the right time to its customers.
