Fairfield County Airport

The County-owned general aviation airport is conveniently located four miles south of Winnsboro on SC 269 and seven miles west of I-77.  It boasts a 5,000 foot paved runway with a parallel taxiway and a planned 500-ft runway extension, as well as a terminal building and 30 t-hangars.   The airport is operated by S&S Aviation.  AvGas and jet fuel, rental cars, flight instruction, a pilots’ shop stocked with supplies and maintenance services are available on-site.

Located 71 miles from Winnsboro and ranked 9th in National Operations in 2007.  Douglas International offers non-stop flights to 137 cities and 33 international destinations.

Located 42 miles from Winnsboro and offers regularly scheduled commercial airline services.  There are approximately 60 scheduled arrivals and departures per day from Columbia Metropolitan.  The Columbia Metropolitan Airport recently completed a $48 million renovation project.
